Privacy Notice

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This notice explains what information Web Design Quotes collects when you ask for a quote, open an account or list a business on the site, what we do with it and what you can ask us to do with it. Web Design Quotes is run by My Bizness Software Ltd, the company is the data controller for the information described here.

1. What we collect

Enquiry details. The quote form asks for the services you need, a budget range, an optional timeline, a description of your project, your name and email address, and optional phone number, company name and website address. Only the fields marked optional can be left blank — the rest are needed before an enquiry can be saved.

Account details. If you register, we store your email address and a sign-in credential, and, for business owner accounts, an optional profile holding your name, phone number, business name and website address so the quote form can be filled in for you next time. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.

Supplier details. Companies that join to take on work give us their company name, contact email, a description of their services and examples of their work, and may upload logo and project images. We use this to review and approve listings and to match enquiries to suitable businesses.

Payment records. When a supplier buys access to an enquiry, we keep a record of the purchase: the amount, the date, the enquiry it relates to and a payment reference with a receipt link from our payment provider. We do not receive or store full card numbers — card details are handled by the payment provider described in section 5.

Technical and sign-in data. Your browser keeps a sign-in session so you stay logged in, and our hosting records standard request information needed to deliver and secure the site.

2. Why we use it

We use enquiry information to review your project, get in touch about it, and put you in touch with professional designers and developers who can quote for the work. We use account information to give you access to the client portal, where you can follow your enquiry, read replies and view invoice records. We use supplier information to approve listings, offer enquiries to suitable businesses and keep a record of what was bought and when. We also use it to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Where we rely on your consent — for example marketing emails we would not otherwise send — you can withdraw it at any time by telling us through the enquiry form.

3. Who your enquiry is shared with

A business owner's enquiry is not advertised publicly. Once an enquiry is accepted, it can be offered to approved suppliers — up to three for a single enquiry — and a supplier only sees your name, email address and phone number after paying for that enquiry. Until then, the enquiry is shown to them without contact details. We include this in the enquiry form wording so you know before you submit.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to advertisers. Beyond suppliers, we share information with the service providers described in section 5, and with anyone we are legally required to tell — for example a court or regulator, where the law obliges us to.

4. What appears in public

Approved supplier listings with a written description, recognised services and described project examples appear in the public supplier directory and in search results. Business owner enquiries are not published, and invoice or portal records are visible only to the signed-in account they belong to, plus the staff and supplier involved in that enquiry.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site: hosting, database and email delivery for the platform; a payment provider for supplier purchases and refunds; a sign-in provider for Google accounts; and an AI model provider for the project advisor. Each is used only for the job it performs, and payments are processed on the provider's own terms and privacy notice. Some providers process information outside the United Kingdom; where they do, we rely on the protections built into our arrangements with them.

6. How long we keep information

Enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer questions about them, keep accounting records and learn what sort of work is being requested. Account and profile information is kept until you ask us to close the account. Supplier purchase, invoice and reply records are kept for accounting and dispute purposes. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, unless we must keep a specific record by law.

7. How we protect information

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to records is restricted by permission rules rather than being open to every signed-in account: suppliers can see enquiries they have paid for, clients see their own portal, and only staff can approve suppliers, change enquiry status or enter invoice records. We keep these checks under review. No system is completely secure, so please tell us promptly if you think something has gone wrong.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it, ask us to limit or stop a particular use of it, receive your data in a usable format, or object to processing. You can also withdraw consent where consent is what allows us to use your data.

To make a request, use the enquiry form and say what you would like. We will verify who you are before releasing personal information. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Children

The service is aimed at business owners and is not intended for children under 18.

10. Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how your information is used, we will tell you through the contact details we hold rather than only updating this page.
